One of the foremost drivers in dirt
trial races, he earned the nickname "Monster" with his dynamic driving.
Tajima has scored many great results in world-class racing scenes, such as the
World Rally Championship (WRC) and Asia-Pacific Rally Championship (APRC); he
represents one of the best of motorsports talents in the world.
Looking back at his brilliant career, he has won the All-Japan Dirt Trial Championship
for seven consecutive years. In 1995, he achieved the feat of becoming the first
Japanese driver to take the overall win in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
In the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship, he won the championship in Formula 2 (2-wheel-drive
category) for Suzuki for four consecutive years from 1995 to 1998. Tajima always
keeps himself busy, actively participating and leaving his mark on the further
development of motorsports. |
