The Asia-Pacific Rally Championship is an FIA authorized
rally championship, in which Suzuki won 4 consecutive F2 drivers cup from 1995
to 1998, and also won manufactures cup in 1998. And in 2001, 6 events for the
Championship were held. Suzuki introduced a new machine Suzuki Ignis Super
1600to the Championship and tested the machine aiming for the upcoming WRC
challenge in Europe. |

Australia's capital city Canberra is host to the first round
in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship, then the beautiful tropical island of
New Caledonia. After that the championship visits 'hot-water city' the thermal-wonderland
of Rotorua, New Zealand, a new event in Japan's northern island of Hokkaido, the
mountain roads of Shaguan, China and finally the sandy beaches of Pattaya in Thailand. |
2002 schedule
As in the 2001, Suzuki will challenge the APRC as follows. From 2002, Japan Hokkaido
Rally will be newly included for the Championship. |
